Newbury entries for Stoute pair Kings Fete and Dartmouth

The Queen's Royal Ascot hero Dartmouth is the standout name entered in the Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup at Newbury on Saturday.

The Hardwicke Stakes winner ran a fine race to finish third in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes in July and could have his sights lowered by Sir Michael Stoute at the weekend, for the Group Three formerly known as the Arc Trial.

Stoute could also saddle the progressive Kings Fete, while Journey is in line to make his first appearance for John Gosden since winning the Pinnacle Stakes at Haydock in May.

Almodovar, Ayrad, Berkshire and The Grey Gatsby are also on the 19-strong list, with the Joseph O'Brien-trained Ol' Man River - a one-time Classic hope when trained by his father Aidan O'Brien - the only Irish entrant.

Mokarris is among a host of smart juveniles in contention for the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes.

Having made a big impression on his Haydock debut, Simon Crisford's youngster was a big disappointment in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, but bounced back to win a Listed prize over this course and distance in mid-July.

He was last seen filling the runner-up spot in the Gimcrack Stakes at York and is likely to be among the leading contenders for the Group Two contest.

Richard Fahey has saddled two of the last three winners of the Mill Reef and has just one possible runner in this year's renewal in Private Matter.

Other contenders for the home team among a total of 18 entries include Richard Hannon's smart filly Nations Alexander and Mark Johnston's impressive Newmarket scorer Rich And Famous.

Aidan O'Brien is keeping his options open, with Intelligence Cross, Leo Minor and Sportsmanship all in the mix.

Unabated could run for Newmarket trainer Marco Botti after finishing third behind The Last Lion in the Sirenia Stakes on Polytrack at Kempton Park on September 3. He had previously performed below expectations when ninth in the Gimcrack Stakes.
 
Botti said on Monday: "We have left Unabated in this morning but we haven't quite decided if he is definitely running or not. We just want to track the race through the week and see what the likely opposition is looking like.

"He has come out of Kempton well and seems in good form. He ran much better there than he did at York. He stayed on well and almost got second despite being too keen early on and it was good to see the winner [The Last Lion] run so well in the Flying Childers last week.
 
"His form is good but he needs to learn to settle. There is a chance he could go back to five furlongs for the Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket next month."

The third and final Pattern race of the afternoon is the Dubai International Airport World Trophy Stakes, which has attracted 18 sprinters.

Fast-improving filly Gravity Flow could bid for a fifth consecutive victory for William Haggas, while Alpha Delphini is on a four-timer for Bryan Smart.

The hat-trick-seeking Boom The Groom, dual Group One winner Goldream, King's Stand Stakes runner-up Cotai Glory, and Muthmir are also in the mix.
