A Sky Bet Punter on Saturday cashed out a £1 racing accumulator for close to £20k before the final leg of the six-fold lost.

The customer staked £1 on a six-horse accumulator across all the Channel 4 Pick 6 races and the wager was looking incredibly good after 20/1 chance Roudee's Ayr Silver Cup success was followed by Baydar (8/1) winning the big 10-furlong handicap at Newbury.

Morando then made it four from four when scoring in Ayr's 3.10 at 3/1, while Cotai Glory (9/2) then took out leg five with a battling sprint success in the Group Three back at Newbury.

It was at this point that the punter opted to take the money, pocketing a huge sum of £19,978.54, before their final selection Aeolus contested the day's feature - the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup.

The decision proved a masterstroke as while Ed Walker's charge ran a highly creditable race in ninth at 25/1, victory went to Brando as Kevin Ryan won the race for the fourth time in his career.
