Saeed bin Suroor has warned Racing History must continue to impress on the gallops if he is to take up his entry in next month's Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot.

The four-year-old, who is a full-brother to dual Group One winner Farhh, has not been seen since finishing fourth to Fascinating Rock in the mile-and-a-quarter showpiece last October.

Although the son of Pivotal has yet to race this campaign, the Newmarket handler reported the three-times winner worked well on the town's Limekilns gallops this morning in preparation for a potential return trip to the Berkshire track for the Group One prize on October 15.

Bin Suroor said: "He is talented, he has had lots of things go wrong with him but so far he is doing well. He worked on the Limekilns this morning and worked nicely.

"I need to see something more from him in his next few pieces of work before we make a decision if we go to the Champion Stakes. If we are 100 per cent happy then we will go."
