Jim Bolger will swerve the Prix Dollar at Longchamp on Saturday with Qatari Hunter in favour of a target closer to home.

The progressive three-year-old, winner of four consecutive races in June and July, will instead run in the Group Three Diamond Stakes at Dundalk on Friday evening.

He was last seen finishing a two-length fourth to Ulysses in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood.

"He's going to run at Dundalk instead," said David Ryan, racing manager for owner Mubarak Al Naemi.

"We think he's still improving and he's a horse we like a lot.

"Hopefully he'll be even better next year, that's what we're hoping.

"We just felt, even though he took his travelling to Goodwood well, that we'd keep him closer to home and take the easier option.

"As for next year, we'll leave it to Jim. He doesn't usually get it wrong, but we have high hopes for him."
