Trainer Ger Lyons backs Colin Keane to reach the top

Ger Lyons believes Colin Keane has what it takes to become a future Irish champion jockey.
The pair have forged a successful relationship and Keane has been retained by Lyons since 2014, when he was crowned champion apprentice jockey.
Lyons has been delighted with Keane's progress and was thrilled when the rider won the Listed Garnet Stakes at Naas on Sunday on Intimation for Newmarket trainer Sir Michael Stoute.
"I'm very proud of him and to see him riding for Sir Michael on Sunday was great," said the County Meath handler.
"He's just a credit to the yard, to himself and to his family with what he does.
"He's always first in (the yard) and before he came here he was driving yearlings. That just tells you about the guy, he has a great attitude.
"He was offered a big contract in India this winter and he'd rather stay with us. There is more to life than money.
"He can't have enough success. He's going from strength to strength and hopefully he's a champion in the making, and hopefully it's for me."
