David Menuisier is hoping to raid his homeland with his smart prospect Make Time.
A possible for the Racing Post Trophy at one stage, the Makfi colt will head to France for the Criterium International at Saint-Cloud, run this year over seven furlongs, on October 30.
"We decided to keep him to seven furlongs rather than step up to a mile," said Menuisier.
"He'll go for the Criterium at the end of next week, I don't think he's ready for a mile this year.
"We'll just keep checking him all next week as they can go in their coats very quickly at this time of year - we'll keep our options open.
"Soft ground certainly wouldn't bother him, he's by Makfi out of a Lomitas mare but he moves like a good ground horse.
"The beauty of him is he's not ground dependent."
Make Time was beaten a nose on his debut at 50-1 before winning at Salisbury by five lengths.
