Charlie Longsdon blow with Kilcooley, Ballydine and Pendra injured

Charlie Longsdon has been dealt a triple blow with Kilcooley, Ballydine and Pendra out for the foreseeable future.
The Chipping Norton handler confirmed dual Grade Two-winning hurdler Kilcooley, who was pulled up on his last start in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham, and his full-brother Ballydine will miss the entire season after suffering leg injuries.
In a further setback, Longsdon will also be without the services of the JP McManus-owned Pendra until the spring at the earliest.
The lightly-raced eight-year-old, winner of six of his 15 starts, was last seen finishing down the field in the Grand National at Aintree in April.
Longsdon said: "Both Kilcooley and Ballydine picked up leg injuries after their last races. Hopefully they will both be back next year.
"Pendra has had a few niggling problems and won't be out until the spring. He will probably be aimed at the National again.
"It does leave a hole in the yard and the others will have to stand up and be counted now. It is frustrating, but that is racing for you."
