Sandy Thomson is keen to get a run into Seeyouatmidnight in the Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase at Carlisle on Sunday.

The eight-year-old signed off his novice season over fences by finishing third in the Scottish National behind Vicente.

He would face a marked drop in trip for this weekend's two-and-a-half-mile contest and could take on the likes of Bristol De Mai and More Of That, but Thomson is itching to get rolling with his stable star.

"We're hoping to go (to Carlisle). A little rain would help but at t his stage the ground is our only concern," said Thomson.

"I think it will be okay. Strangely we've had rain just about every day for the last two weeks up here (Lambden, Berwickshire) but it's missing everywhere else.

"He's further forward than he was this time last year and I'm keen to get going with him.

"He's got an entry in the Hennessy, or there's the Rehearsal Chase the same day and he'd need a run before then."
