Gary Moore considers 2018 Grand National for Antony

Antony will head to Newbury on Saturday for the Sir Peter O'Sullevan Memorial Handicap Chase.

Gary Moore's charge made a huge impression when he routed the opposition in a £100,000 race at Ascot on October 29.

And while his trainer thinks the Grand National at Aintree will come too soon this season, it is certainly on his agenda in the future.

"Antony goes to Newbury this weekend as there are not a lot of alternatives for him," said Moore.

"He's had a good break since his last run and he looks very well. He schooled (on Monday morning) and jumped very well.

"He definitely won't go for the National this season as he's too young and only a second-season novice.

"But he's got age on his side, and he needs to gain more experience.
