A tilt at the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown is under serious consideration for Grand National hero Many Clouds.
Oliver Sherwood's stable star claimed the Aintree spectacular in 2015, but disappointed in April when attempting to become the first back-to-back winner of the great race since Red Rum.
However, connections were hopeful a summer wind operation would help him raise his game and he made a flying start to the new campaign when winning a Listed event back on Merseyside last month.
While a third Grand National bid remains high on his agenda, he could first chase a first Grade One success in Ireland on December 28.
Sherwood said: "He's very well and we're seriously considering going for the Lexus.
"I think we'll definitely leave him in the race at the confirmation stage, so we'll see what else is still in and then make a decision.
"I'm absolutely delighted with him at home and he came out of the race at Aintree as well as he's come out of any race he's ever run in.
"We'll see what else is confirmed for the Lexus, but we're training him as if he's going to run."
