News of the action from a foggy Wincanton where Walk In The Mill continued his progression with an easy victory.
Walk In The Mill continued his progression with an easy win in the Bathwick Tyres Handicap Chase at a foggy Wincanton.
Trained by Robert Walford, Walk In The Mill had been raised 5lb after winning at Exeter last time out, but now looks set for another rise in grade.
Quite what happened during the race itself is unclear as it was run at a time when the fog was at its worst, but by the time they came into view Fox Appeal was still in the mix.
He came down three out, though, and Walk In The Mill (9-2) was left to come home 22 lengths clear of Orbasa under James Best.
"Who knows what would have happened if Fox Appeal had stood up," said Walford.
"The two jocks said they were a long way clear when he (Fox Appeal) fell, but we've no way of knowing.
"He's a lovely horse who we expected to run well, we'll just have to see what the handicapper does.
"If he takes it literally he might give us a massive hike, but if the other horse hadn't fallen he might have only won a couple of lengths.
"Without knowing what he's going to do, we can't really make any plans."
Tom George was out of luck in the feature race with Some Buckle but did leave with a double.
Wild West Wind (4-1 co-favourite) never looked like being caught in the Bathwick Tyres Yeovil Chase as he saw off Pilgrims Bay by 12 lengths.
Kk Lexion (6-1) provided George and Adrian Heskin with a double in the Bathwick Tyres Poole Handicap Hurdle.
Fortunate George briefly slipped the field turning into the straight and Heskin had to shake his mount up.
He was soon on terms, though, and ended up pulling 10 lengths clear.
Daryl Jacob had a near -miss with Midnight Jazz in the Listed race for mares at Sandown, but he hot-footed it down south and was rewarded with a winner.

Now with Dr Richard Newland having run over fences in France, he looked above average in pulling five lengths clear of fellow market leader Anchor Man.
