Fergal O'Brien is set to give Perfect Candidate a racecourse gallop as part of his preparation for the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree next month.
O'Brien reports the 10-year-old to be in fine shape as the build-up to the world's greatest steeplechase steps up a gear.
"He's fine. Hopefully he'll go somewhere for a racecourse gallop and see how we go," said O'Brien, who won the Midlands Grand National on Saturday with Chase The Spud.
"All roads lead to Aintree."
Perfect Candidate, who advertised his claims with an all-the-way win at Exeter last month, is a 50-1 chance for the Liverpool spectacular on April 8.
