DOUBLE: With Pleasure and Cloonacool
Ludlow plays host to another strong card with Cloonacool expected to go well in an intriguing Ludlow Club Novices' Limited Handicap Chase.
Trained by Stuart Edmonds, who has made a promising start to his career, Cloonacool was a more than capable handicap hurdler, winning a decent prize at Market Rasen in September.
Sent over fences at Plumpton last month he did everything right bar win, finishing second to Regal Encore, who was good enough in his younger days to finish second in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in 2013.
He starts life in handicaps over fences off the same 135 he was rated over the smaller obstacles and given he has plenty of scope for his new discipline he should improve past that mark.
Nick Williams' The Coffee Hunter bumped into a smart one in the shape of Kasakh Noir last time out and should go one better in the Best Wishes For 2016 Juvenile Maiden Hurdle.
Dan Skelton's Kasakh Noir shaped well with a penalty in a good race next time out and looks way above average.
The Coffee Hunter was the only one to make a race of it and ended up well beaten but he looks sure to win races.
There is more quality jumping fare on offer at Musselburgh, with Itstimeforapint rated the best bet of the afternoon in the Alex Donaldson Handsome Handicap Chase.
Following a couple of readying runs, the eight-year-old got off the mark for the season in good style over this course and distance last month under the excellent Derek Fox.
While the runner-up did not advertise the form well on his next start, Itstimeforapint was good value for the winning margin of a shade over two lengths and a a 6lb move up the ratings might have underestimated his ability and current well being.
He likes the track and does not mind soft ground and with trainer Lucinda Russell's string in good heart, this eight-year-old ticks a lot of boxes.
With Pleasure looks a leading candidate for top honours in the 32Red.com Maiden Auction Stakes at Wolverhampton.
The son of Poet's Voice was not unfancied when sent to Brighton for his summer debut by fledgling trainer Simon Crisford, but was all at sea by the seaside.
He is not the first horse to struggle on what is a notoriously tricky circuit, however, and he is better judged on his latest effort at Chelmsford.
Having been gelded since his first run, With Pleasure appeared more straightforward and was only narrowly denied victory after being caught close home.
A reproduction of that effort will make him hard to beat at Dunstall Park and it is certainly not inconceivable he can raise his game again.
Exentricity won as she liked on her latest visit to Wolverhampton and can defy a hike in the weights to land the 32Red Casino Fillies' Handicap.
The four-year-old finally came good at the 14th attempt at Chelmsford in November and while she was never a factor at Lingfield next time, she made the most of her lowest ever mark when scoring with something in hand here a little over three weeks ago.
The handicapper has reacted by handing her a 6lb rise, but in current mood, that might not be enough to stop her going in again.
