Stefan Marsh has become the fifth Widnes player in a week to commit his future to the Vikings.
The 25-year-old former Wigan threequarter, who joined Widnes on a permanent deal in 2013 following two loan spells, has followed team-mates Chris Dean, Joe Mellor, Charly Runciman and Eamon O'Carroll in signing a two-year contract extension which ensures he will stay at the Halton Stadium until at least the end of 2018.
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "I'm excited by what Stefan brings to the squad. He has grown with us and year on year he has shown what he can achieve with his hard work and determination.
"Stefan's flexibility to play in any back line position is a great supplement to the squad."
Marsh, who has scored nine tries in seven matches this year, said: "I am thoroughly enjoying my time here at Widnes and extending my contract means I can continue to work hard every day with my mates and work towards finding out what the club can achieve.
"I see big things in the future and I am excited to be part of it."
