Super League leaders Hull FC will take on second-placed Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup semi-finals.

And the other semi-final will pit third-place Warrington Wolves against Wakefield Wildcats, who are currently sixth in the standings.

Wigan, who are chasing a 20th Challenge Cup success, booked a spot in the last four with a 26-12 win over Castleford on Saturday.

Hull FC had continued their fine season earlier in the day with a 22-8 defeat of Catalans Dragons. The Black and Whites have now won 10 straight matches in all competitions and are hoping to reach a 16th final.

Their most recent appearance in the showpiece occasion was in 2013, when they were beaten 16-0 by Wigan.

And Warriors coach Shaun Wane is excited about the prospect of facing Hull in this year's semis, in a tie which will, as he expected, take place at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on Friday July 29.

"It's a good draw, I'm looking forward to it," said Wane. "We'll be going to Doncaster. I know Hull are the team at the minute and they're very confident."

Hull gained a 30-16 over Wigan in their meeting at the DW Stadium last month and Wane said: "They're unbeatable but we'll try to give them a game.

"I'd say we're underdogs. I've not got 10 NRL players in my team, I've got 10 Wigan lads.

"We'll do our best and, if we can put together 80 minutes of that first half today, we might have a chance of winning."

The other semi-final will feature a Warrington team who lifted the Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2012 against a Wakefield squad who have reached the last four for the first time since 2008.

That match will be hosted at Leigh's Sports Village on Saturday July 30.

The draw was made at the DW Stadium by former Castleford favourite Bob Beardmore and ex-Wigan prop Ian Gildart, whose son Oliver was in the team that triumphed over the Tigers.
