Greg Worthington, a member of Leigh's promotion-winning team, has become the 13th recruit for Toronto Wolfpack.

The 26-year-old former Featherstone centre is the fifth player to join former Leigh coaching duo Paul Rowley and Simon Finnigan at the newly-formed Canadian side, who will compete in Kingstone Press League 1 from March.

"Greg is a player I hold in high regard after coaching against him and my respect for him only strengthened when I got the chance to coach him," Rowley said.

"So it's with great delight that the opportunity should arise again after he became available and he showed so much commitment and excitement to join our club from its birth and help shape its future. Greg will without doubt, become a Wolfpack favourite."

Worthington, who was out of contract with the Centurions, said: "I am really looking forward to starting a new adventure and taking rugby league over to Canada.

"The opportunity to be part of something starting from scratch really appealed to me and is a great opportunity to see a different part of the world."

Worthington will be reunited with Leigh team-mates Bob Beswick, Jonny Pownall, Andrew Dixon and Liam Kay at the Wolfpack.
