Warrington's Stefan Ratchford joined Jon Wells at the touchscreen following his side's 19-10 victory over Widnes Vikings at the Select Security Stadium on Thursday.

Despite an electric start from Widnes Vikings which saw Stefan Marsh dot down inside the opening two minutes, the Wolves struck back with tries from Tom Lineham, Jack Hughes and Joe Philbin, and Declan Patton's drop-goal, to lead 17-4 at half-time.

Widnes' Charly Runciman scored the only try of the second half to give the hosts a glimmer of hope, but Patton's late penalty extended Tony Smith's side unbeaten run to three games following a rocky start to their 2017 campaign.

Ratchford was in impressive form at the Select Security Stadium on Thursday night putting in a performance that saw him named man of the match.

The full-back had a hand in all that was good for the Wolves' including creating the opening for Lineham to squeeze over before finding himself in the thick of the action once again delivering a superb pass to centre Ryan Atkins, only to be denied the score by the video referee.
