England will face the likes of Anthony Milford, Josh McGuire and Sam Kasiano when they take on Samoa in a Test match in Sydney on May 6.

Prop forward McGuire played for Australia in the 2016 ANZAC Test but, under new international laws, is able to switch to a tier two nation and remain eligible for the Kangaroos.

The same applies to half-back Milford, who has played for the Australian Prime Minister's XIII in the past and has been on the fringes of selection for the Queensland State of Origin team, and prop Kasiano who was in the New Zealand side that reached the 2013 World Cup final at Old Trafford.

Milford and McGuire, who both play for England coach Wayne Bennett's Brisbane Broncos team, have represented Samoa in the past.

Also in the 17-man squad named by coach Matt Parish, who will add an extra player after this weekend's round of NRL matches, is Fa'amanu Brown, who was in the Cronulla team beaten by Wigan in this year's World Club Challenge.

Former Hull forward Frank Pritchard, who was favourite to captain the team, is ruled out through injury, but the side includes his younger brother Kaysa.

Meanwhile, Pritchard's former Hull second row partner Sika Manu has been named in Tonga's squad for the game against Fiji as part of the triple header at Campbelltown Stadium, one of the outgrounds used by Wests Tigers.

Papua New Guinea open proceedings next Saturday against the Cook Islands before Fiji and Tonga face off, with England and Samoa completing the day's action.

The Tonga squad also includes Michael Jennings, Andrew Fifita and Tui Lolohea, who have played in the past for Australia and New Zealand.
