Super 8s Qualifiers team news: Ben Currie ruled out for Warrington Wolves

Team news ahead of the weekend's Qualifiers fixtures where Widnes face Super League rivals Warrington and Leigh face Championship side Featherstone.

Widnes Vikings v Warrington Wolves (Friday- 8.00pm)

Back-rower Ben Currie misses out for Warrington after he suffered another knee injury when the sides met a fortnight ago in just his second game back after a 10-month lay-off.

Captain Chris Hill is set to return after recovering from a hamstring problem while prop Dom Crosby is expected to make his comeback, but Ben Westwood completes his ban and Joe Westerman, Kurt Gidley and Ben Pomeroy are still injured.

Widnes have a much-changed side from the one beaten at Warrington last month, with Rangi Chase, Chris Bridge, Danny Craven, Rhys Hanbury, Chris Houston, Lloyd White, Manase Manuokafoa and Jack Buchanan all returning.

Connor Farrell is set to make his Featherstone debut after joining from Wigan last week while fellow forward John Davies has overcome injury to feature. Jason Walton, Kyran Johnson and Chris Ulugia miss out.

Matty Fleming, Liam Hood, Sam Hopkins, Ben Reynolds and Glenn Stewart all return for Leigh but they have lost centre Ben Crooks and prop Gareth Hock to injury.
