Salford forward Ryan Lannon will miss the start of the 2018 Super League season after being handed a three-match ban following his dismissal against St Helens.

The back rower was shown a red card for a high and late tackle on Saints stand-off Theo Fages during his side's 30-4 home defeat in their last match of the season on Thursday.

Lannon pleaded guilty to the grade D offence when he appeared in front of a disciplinary hearing and was suspended for three matches and fined £300.
