LISTEN: Super League Golden Point - Shaun Wane, Wigan and Kallum Watkins
Friday 25 May 2018 00:34, UK
On this week's Super League Golden Point, Brian Carney, Phil Clarke and Terry O'Connor discuss the key talking points from the world of rugby league.
The trio start by focusing on Shaun Wane's decision to leave Wigan at the end of the season after spending six-and-a-half years in charge at the DW Stadium and highlight some big names that have been linked with the position.
Wane, 53, who made his first-team debut as a player for Wigan in 1982 and also worked as a scout at the club before becoming head coach, says at present he has no other job lined up.
After Kallum Watkins' anterior cruciate ligament injury has put him out of action for eight months the trio look at the impact that this could have on Leeds' title defence. Does it end their hopes of going back-to-back? And, from an international perspective who can step into Watkins' shoes?
The team also look at England Knights' two-game series against Papua New Guinea and focus on the Summer Bash video referee trial.
