Hull have lost captain Gareth Ellis to suspension so Jordan Thompson is set for a recall while winger Steve Michaels is also back in contention after sitting out the win at Wakefield.

Widnes have lost stand-off Kevin Brown and centre Chris Bridge to ankle and calf injuries sustained in the defeat by Warrington and coach Denis Betts has called up Pat Ah Van, Ed Chamberlain, Jordan Johnstone and Matt Whitley to help plug the gaps.

Wakefeld coach Chris Chester makes two changes to the side that lost to Hull, with hooker Stuart Howarth and winger Richie Owen coming in to replace Jonny Molloy and Reece Lyne, who picked up hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.
