We were treated to a sensational penultimate round of Super League, with the Hull derby kicking things off on Thursday night. Hull FC claimed the spoils as they moved back to the top of the table with a convincing 36-12 win over Hull KR that consigned their fierce rivals to the Middle 8s.
There was also a 18-16 victory for Leeds over Wigan on Friday night, with the Rhinos taking one step towards avoiding the record of being the first Leeds side to finish at the bottom of the table in their 136-year history.
Wakefield held off Catalans on Saturday to come away from Perpignan with a rare win, though there was some controversy as Pat Richards' failed conversion split opinion.
Salford battled to victory over Widnes while there were wins on Sunday for St Helens over the Giants and Warrington, who got one over the Tigers.
