This weekend York City Knights smashed the record books out of the park with their match against West Wales Raiders.
The two sides are firmly at opposite ends of League One and at Bootham Crescent, the home side put 25 tries on the board to their opponents' none…yes, that figure was 25!
The 144-point total is the most scored in a professional fixture in England and also goes down as the greatest margin of victory.
Kieren Moss, on loan from Hull KR, scored seven of the tries and next the outfit will travel on the road to Hunslet RLFC. Will lightning strike twice?
On Thursday night St Helens overcame the dismissal of forward Matty Lees to rout Salford 60-10 and as a result, pulled two points clear at the top of Betfred Super League, but their victory was overshadowed by an injury to star man Ben Barba.
Barba's performance on the night was mesmeric as he scored a first hat-trick in the competition. His tally of 15 tries in 13 matches makes him the competition's most prolific try-scorer.
However, the full-back fell awkwardly eight minutes from time and, after being treated on the pitch, was carried off on a stretcher.
Thankfully for all, his team-mate Danny Richardson shared this video on his social media account in order to highlight his return.
The club also announced, more formally on their website, that Barba was cleared of any serious injury at the hospital after the game. The club's own medical staff have also given him the all clear.
Tony Gigot's drop-goal ensured that Catalans won their third match of the season on Saturday evening.
The 25-24 victory over Hull FC lifts them off the bottom of the Super League table however they now face an encounter with table-toppers St Helens on Thursday night, live on Sky Sports Arena.
The Dragons were driven by a man-of-the-match performance from debutant Josh Drinkwater. The 25-year-old, who signed for the club last week, scored a try and added six conversions during his maiden outing for them.
Super League returnee Josh Charnley notched up a hat-trick of tries during Warrington's 38-4 victory over Huddersfield Giants.
The result extends the Wire's winning run to eight matches in all competitions and, as far as try-scoring is concerned, Charnley is working at a hit rate of 10 tries in six games.
After the match, Warrington's head coach Steve Price hailed his side's "professional display" and the team's performance.
"I was pleased with the group. There were a number of really good tries scored especially out wide with some good skill level; Ryan Atkins putting [Josh] Charnley away for three again, said Price on the club's website.
"We stuck to it and executed our game plan. It was a credit to our experienced guys in Kev [Brown] and Chris [Hill], and Tyrone [Roberts] with how he managed the game."
Simon Woolford has been appointed as the new Huddersfield Giants head coach.
The 43-year-old has left his coaching role with NRL club Newcastle Knights - he was Nathan Brown's right-hand man - and has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract replacing Rick Stone, who was dismissed in March.
Fans of the club will be hoping that the appointment provides a much-needed boost, with the team currently sitting bottom of the Super League and on an eight-match losing streak.
"It's a great honour to be trusted in this position at such a famous club as Huddersfield," said Woolford about his appointment to the club's website.
"I know a lot of research went into me by the club and after doing my own research, I knew we would be a good match.
"I have had the chance to watch several Giants games this season and formed some early views on where we can make some improvements."
The Giants host Widnes Vikings in Round 14 at the John Smith's Stadium before a Magic Weekend encounter, live on Sky Sports, with Wakefield Trinity on May 20 at St. James' Park.
