Jodie Broughton will join Catalans Dragons on a two-year contract from next season.

The explosive winger, who was named the fastest man in Super League in 2011, will join Dragons after a season-long stint at Huddersfield Giants where he scored 16 tries in 30 games.

A product of the Leeds Rhinos Academy, Broughton made his Super League debut while on loan at Hull FC in 2008, before joining Salford in 2010 where he scored 60 tries in 99 games.

Dragons head coach Laurent Frayssinous said: "It is very pleasing to have reached agreement with Jodie to bring him to the Dragons for the next two seasons.

"He is one of the fastest players in the competition and has the qualities we were looking for. He is a great finisher and has valuable experience in the competition."
