Josh Jones has completed a swift return to Super League after signing for Salford.

The 22-year-old centre left St Helens at the end of the 2015 season to switch codes with Premiership club Exeter, but failed to break into their first team.

He cited family reasons for his decision to return home with his partner Olivia, who is expecting their first child in June.

Jones, who was a member of Saints' 2014 Grand Final-winning team, played for the Chiefs' A League side and also on loan at Taunton Titans during his brief stint in union.

Salford owner Marwan Koukash tweeted: "Josh Jones not only coming back to Rugby League but now he is a Red Devil. Fantastic addition to our squad."
