Wakefield have launched an investigation into an alleged police incident on Friday involving hooker Scott Moore.
Trinity say they have spoken to the 28-year-old and are waiting for more information from the police.
"The club have been made aware over the weekend, of an incident that occurred on early Friday morning involving our player Scott Moore," a Wakefield statement read.
"Having spoken to Scott briefly over the weekend, the club have opened an investigation into the matter and await further reports from the police.
"There will be no further comment at this time."
Meanwhile, Wakefield have announced the departure of former Castleford winger Richard Owen, who failed to break into their Super League team in 2016 and spent some time on loan with Leigh.
