Australian half-back Jacob Miller has committed his future to Wakefield by signing a new four-and-a-half-year contract.

The 25-year-old has played a key part in Trinity's recent resurgence after joining from Hull in 2015 and coach Chris Chester is delighted to secure his services to the end of 2022.

"He's an outstanding player who still has a long career ahead of him," Chester said.

"It is great that he has committed his long-term future to Wakefield Trinity.

"I have enjoyed seeing him grow and develop as a player over the past couple of seasons and I look forward to working with him in the future."

Miller was a rising star in NRL with Wests Tigers, where he made nine first-grade appearances and was a Toyota Cup winner with the Sydney club's youth team.
