Catalans Dragons' loose forward Greg Mounis will retire at the end of the season.

The former French International, who was named in the Catalans Dragons team of the decade, is the player who made the most Super League appearances in the club history.

Mounis, 31, made 253 Super League appearances, scoring 27 tries and 146 points.

A Catalans local product, he is the last Dragons player still at the club who featured in their first-ever Super League game against Wigan in February 2006.

"It's an honour to have played with Greg and then to have coached him," said Catalans coach Laurent Frayssinous. "He has always embodied the values of the club.

"He is a tough player, who always wants to put the club first, especially when we have injury crises with many players sidelined.

"We are turning a page but he will remain a model for all, especially for future generations of players."

Meanwhile, Catalans loose forward Jason Baitieri will miss the remainder of the season with an injury suffered in training.
