Widnes Vikings share a vital message to try and ease the pressure on local hospitals

Widnes Vikings' players have joined medical staff at Halton NHS to put out a message with a difference.

The club has teamed up with the NHS to put together a series of public information films, which are aimed at taking the strain off accident and emergency departments.

The whole squad has got involved, from scrumming down in hospital corridors to taking lessons from their head coach Denis Betts.

"It's nice to get out of training and do something different with the lads," said Jordan Johnstone. "Halton NHS have come in and it has taught us a lesson as well."
