Phil Clarke selects his five favourite tries from round five of the Betfred Super League

Phil Clarke has selected his top five tries from round five of Betfred Super League, where Wigan and Castleford's winning starts were both brought to an end.

The Warriors were held to a 16-16 draw by Huddersfield, for whom Lee Gaskell scored a great try following an interception and gallop downfield by Jermaine McGillvary.

Morgan Escare responded for Wigan after receiving a quick inside pass from Joel Tomkins and his try also makes Phil's shortlist.

Tom Johnstone's first try against Leeds was one of few positives in a disappointing night for Wakefield at Headingley, but Ben Murdoch-Masila's second score against Castleford put Salford on course for a last-gasp victory.

It has been a difficult start to the season for St Helens but they snapped a three-game losing streak on Saturday against Catalans, with Perpignan-born Theo Fages sending Jack Owens over for the match-winning score.
