Semi Radradra will make his debut for Australia in the mid-season Test against New Zealand in Newcastle on May 6.

The Parramatta winger, who won four caps for Fiji before switching his allegiance, is one of four new faces in Mal Meninga's first selection since succeeding Tim Sheens as Kangaroos coach.

Radradra, who is following in the footsteps of Lote Tuqiri, will play outside Greg Inglis, who switches to centre from full-back to pave the way for the recall of Darius Boyd.

The other newcomers are winger Blake Ferguson and interchange players Josh McGuire, who played for Samoa in the 2014 Four Nations Series, and Michael Morgan.

The team is heavily weighted with Queensland players but former Maroons boss Meninga will avoid accusations of bias against New South Wales after handing a recall to veteran Blues captain Paul Gallen.

"This is a well-balanced squad and I'm extremely happy with it," Meninga said. "We have some experience as well as a handful of younger players who I am looking forward to seeing in this arena.

"It is the fourth most experienced line-up in Australia's Test history but there will also be four players making their debuts.

"This is an incredibly important game for this group. I want to ensure the players have pride in the national jumper and my goal is to establish the Kangaroos back at the top of the international rankings.

"We have a Four Nations tournament at the end of this year and then a World Cup in 2017. This is the start of an important journey for the Kangaroos."

New Zealand coach Stephen Kearney will announce his team on Sunday.
