Viktor Troicki and Bernard Tomic were ordered by a police officer to stop practicing in Washington

Bernard Tomic and Viktor Troicki were confronted by a police officer after they ignored his orders to stop a practice session in Washington.

Australia's Tomic and Serbian player Troicki had been practicing at this week's Citi Open when they were told to leave the court due to the threat of rain.

The pair did not immediately stop playing, but had to cut short their session after a police officer walked onto the court.

Tomic and Troicki both voiced their complaints as rain was yet to fall, although they eventually made way following a more forceful request from the officer.

After the premature end to his preparations, Tomic suffered a straights-sets defeat to Ivo Karlovic in the third round of the tournament.
