Johanna Konta is keen to build on a successful second season on the WTA Tour as she approaches 2018 fit again following an ankle injury

Johanna Konta discusses her rise to fame, her Grand Slam successes and how she is looking to improve in 2018.

The 26-year-old reached the last eight at the Australian Open before getting to the semi-finals at Wimbledon for the first time.

Although she fell short of overall victory at the All England Club, Konta's performance saw her become the first Briton since 1978 to go so far in the ladies singles competition.

Yet despite offering great encouragement, her season unravelled from there and it ended on the sidelines as an ankle injury brought her campaign to an end early.

As she steps up her preparations for the new year, Konta has high hopes of making further progress under her new coach Michael Joyce.
