Angelique Kerber to face Jelena Jankovic in Hong Kong Open final

Angelique Kerber beat fifth-seeded Samantha Stosur 6-2 6-2 in the Hong Kong Open semi-finals to edge one match nearer to a place in the WTA Finals.
The second-seeded Kerber will guarantee herself a ticket to the end-of-season WTA showpiece in Singapore later this month if she can beat Jelena Jankovic in Sunday's final.
Jankovic also came through in straight sets against Venus Williams in the evening match, digging deep to secure a 6-4 7-5 win; the fourth seed fought back from 3-0 down in the second set before prevailing, ending Willams' own hopes of making it to Singapore.
Stosur had staged a remarkable comeback against Heather Watson in the quarter-finals by winning 11 straight games but the Australian ran out of ideas and inspiration against Kerber.
"I'm feeling good after this match - I was playing good tennis today," Kerber said. "It's always tough to play Sam. She's a great champion and a great opponent. So I'm really happy about my performance.
"I'm not thinking too much about needing one more win tomorrow, though. It's going to be another day and another match, and I'm just going to try and play some good tennis and win the final here."
Kerber is chasing her fifth title of the year after victories in Charleston, Stuttgart, Birmingham and Stanford.
