Johanna Konta has been knocked out in the quarter finals of the Abierto Monterrey Afirme after losing in three sets to Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens.
The British No 1 fought back from the brink of defeat in Mexico to take the second set but was blown away in the decider to lose 6-3 6-7 (2/7) 6-1.
Konta, seeded fourth in the tournament, trailed 5-4 in the second set but manged to break-back broke before easing through the tie-break 7-2.
But Flipkens responded in style in the third set, racing into a 5-0 lead and securing victory in just over two hours after a comfortable hold of serve.
