Britain's Kyle Edmund completed a battling three-set win over Jiri Vesely to earn a second round clash with Novak Djokovic at the Miami Open.
The 21-year-old, who featured in last year's triumphant Davis Cup team, finally converted his fourth match point to seal a 6-4 5-7 7-6 (8-6) win over Vesely in Florida.
Edmund set up a clash with world No 1 Djokovic, who warmed up with another title win at last week's BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
In a clash of two upcoming young players on the tour, Edmund made a strong start as he broke Vesely on the way to taking a one-set lead.
But the 22-year-old Vesely hit back with a break of his own to level the match at 1-1 in the second, forcing a tense decider.
Edmund kept the pressure on his Czech world No 55 opponent in the closing stages and earned a match point at 5-4 up, which was fended off by Vesely.
Two more match points slipped away before the Brit eventually secured the win in two hours and 30 minutes.
Exciting young German Alexander Zverev joined him in the next stage after a 7-6 (7-3) 7-6 (7-4) win over Michael Mmoh.
