Rafael Nadal returns to his home country of Spain for the Barcelona Open aiming for back-to-back clay court titles.
You can watch the greatest ever clay court player return to Spanish soil live on Sky Sports between April 18-April 23.
Nadal displayed his clay credentials last week as he won the Monte Carlo Masters, humbling Andy Murray in the semi-finals then Gael Monfils in the final, to claim the trophy for a ninth time. If he wins in Barcelona, his 29th career Masters title will put him above Novak Djokovic as the all-time leader.
The build-up to the French Open, the Grand Slam where Nadal made his name with nine victories, continues in Barcelona at another clay court competition that he has historically dominated.
The current world No 5 has won in Barcelona eight out of nine times, while his Spanish compatriots also chipped in to keep the trophy on home ground. In total, Spaniards won the title 11 times consecutively until Japan's Kei Nishikori claimed victory in 2014. Nishikori then claimed back-to-back titles after succeeding last year.
The world No 6 returns as defending champion as Nadal's likeliest rival in the tournament, but as the top two seeds they will be drawn in separate halves of the tournament and could only meet in the final.
The Spanish contingent will consist of world No 8 David Ferrer, world No 23 Feliciano Lopez and world No 64 Nicolas Almagro. The likes of Richard Gasquet, Victor Troicki and Ernests Gulbis will also head to Barcelona.
