Agnieszka Radwanska warmed up for the US Open with a 6-1 7-6 win over Elena Svitolina in the final of the WTA Tour's Connecticut Open.

The top seed completed a flawless week with her victory over Svitolina, going through the tournament without losing a set.

Radwanska was in complete control from the start of the first set, winning 20 of the first 27 points played to storm into a 5-0 lead.

Svitolina saved two set points to avoid a 'bagel' but Radwanska made no mistake on her next service game to race through the opening set in 29 minutes.

The second set proved far tougher as 10th seed Svitolina grew into the match but a series of unforced errors meant chances for her to break the Pole were few and far between.

Svitolina did manage to force two set points but wasted both and Radwanska was well on top throughout the tie-break, claiming just her second title of the season - the first came all the way back in January in Shenzhen.
