British No 2 Kyle Edmund reaches last 16 of China Open

Kyle Edmund enjoyed another good day at the office as he swept past Guillermo Garcia-Lopez to reach the second round of the China Open.
The British No 2 needed just 66 minutes to register a 6-3 6-2 victory over the Spaniard who was unable to break his opponent's serve in either set.

The only time Edmund appeared to be struggling was when he served for the match at 5-2 in the second set.
But despite falling 15-40 down, the 21-year-old qualifier responded by winning five of the next six points and with it the match.
The world No 54 now faces another Spaniard in the last 16 on Wednesday, the No 7 seed Roberto Bautista Agut.
Also safely through to the next round is No 5 seed David Ferrer who beat Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay 6-4 7-6 (7-3).
Top seed Andy Murray, who could face Edmond in the quarter-finals, opens his account on Tuesday against Andreas Seppi of Italy.
