Nick Kyrgios got involved in an angry exchange during his first round match in Acapulco

Nick Kyrgios is back in action in Acapulco this week and marked his first round victory over Dudi Sela with an increasingly familiar run-in.

The controversial Australian has made plenty of headlines over the last couple of years, rowing with anyone from fellow players to umpires, reporters and even the occasional fan.

Kyrgios also found himself in hot water towards the end of the year after his performance levels were questioned in a match against Mischa Zverev that culminated in a suspension and the Aussie agreeing to see a psychologist.

The 21-year-old reached the semi-finals in Marseille last week and appeared to be on his best behaviour in France before his appearance in Mexico this week where the world no 17 found himself back in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

During his opener at the Abierto Mexicano he was at it again, getting involved in an angry exchange with his Sela and the Israel's fans.

Kyrgios shook off the incident to seal a three-set victory booking a second round date with Donald Young in the process.
