French Open winner Rafa Nadal has sealed his place in the ATP World Tour Finals before the end of June.

Nadal is the first player confirmed as a qualifier for the season-ending tournament at the O2 in London days after winning his 10th Roland Garros title.

The Spaniard has already won four tournaments this season and boasts a 46-6 match record in a stellar season that has seen him climb back to world No 2.

He went through the entire French Open fortnight without losing a set and routed Stan Wawrinka in Sunday's final for the loss of only six games.

"I've had a great season so far and I am happy to have already qualified for London," Nadal said.

"I could not play last year because of injury so I look forward to returning in November."

Australian Open champion Roger Federer is currently second in the qualifying standings ahead of Dominic Thiem, Wawrinka, Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, world No 1 Andy Murray and David Goffin.
