Johanna Konta defeats Tara Moore for landmark win

Great Britain's Johanna Konta poses for a photo after completing her 300th tour victory

Johanna Konta's 300th career win came against fellow Brit Tara Moore on Tuesday.

British No 1 Konta was leading 6-2 3-0 in the first round of the Aegon Open in Nottingham when Moore retired with an injury to her left foot.

Two breaks gave Konta a straightforward opening set and she continued to dominate Moore before the match's early ending.

Konta, the top seed at the tournament, received a bunch of flowers on court after her milestone win.

She will play Yanina Wickmayer in the next round.

Elsewhere at the Aegon Open, Donna Vekic beat sixth seed Shelby Rogers 6-4 6-3, Maria Sakkari defeated Jana Cepelova 7-6 5-7 7-6 and Magdalena Rybarikova eliminated Dayana Yastremska with a 6-1 6-2 win.
