David Goffin retires from French Open with ankle injury

David Goffin was forced to retire from the French Open after suffering an ankle injury in his third-round match against Horacio Zeballos.
The 10th seed was leading Zeballos 5-4 when he chased down the ball towards the back of the Suzanne Lenglen court.
His right foot got horribly jammed beneath the rolled-up covers before he tumbled into the wall and a linesman's chair.
Goffin, 26, was helped from the court by two officials and retired in the locker room.
Zeballos, the world No 65, has now reached the last 16 of a Grand Slam for the first time, where he will play sixth seed Dominic Thiem after he beat Steve Johnson 6-1 7-6(4) 6-3 in an enthralling contest.
After a quickfire first set dominated by the Austrian, 25th seed Johnson fought back in the second, earning two set points in the 10th game that he failed to convert.
Thiem, one of the dark horses to win the tournament after beating favourite Rafael Nadal in straight sets in Rome earlier this month, stepped up his heavy groundstroke game in the third set and finished with 45 winners to 19 unforced errors.
Fifth seed Milos Raonic advanced to the last 16 when veteran Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez retired through injury in the second set.
Raonic was leading 6-1, 1-0 when 153rd-ranked Garcia-Lopez quit after just 28 minutes of their third-round encounter.
The world number six will meet Pablo Carreno Busta after he beat 11th seed Grigor Dimitrov 7-5 6-4 6-3.
Another Spaniard, Roberto Bautista Agut, also reached the fourth round with a 6-3 6-4 6-3 win over Jiri Vesely.
