WWE: Mick Foley named Raw General Manager, Daniel Bryan in charge Smackdown
WWE Draft takes place live on Smackdown on Tuesday night
Tuesday 19 July 2016 15:10, UK
Mick Foley has been named as the General Manager of WWE Raw with Daniel Bryan placed in charge of Smackdown.
Raw and Smackdown's respective commissioners, Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon, revealed Foley and Bryan's appointments on Monday's Raw, a day before the WWE brand extension.
WWE Superstars will be placed on either Raw or Smackdown during Tuesday night's Draft on the first live edition of Smackdown, which comes your way at 1am on Sky Sports 5.
Foley enjoyed a decorated in-ring career with WWE, winning three world titles and one Hardcore Championship, as well as earning eight Tag Team Championship reigns with partners including 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, The Rock and Kane.
However, The Hardcore Legend, who competed under the guises of Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love, is best remembered for his fall from the top of the 16-foot Hell in a Cell structure during a match with The Undertaker in 1998.
Bryan, meanwhile, was forced to end his wrestling career earlier this year after picking up a series of concussion-related injuries.
The Washington native debuted in WWE in 2010 as part of The Nexus stable and went on to win four world titles as well as the Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team titles on one occasion each.
Bryan's crowning glory came at WrestleMania 30, in New Orleans in April 2014, when he won the world championship in the night's main event against Randy Orton and Batista.
The Submission Specialist had beaten Triple H earlier in the evening to earn a spot in the title match and then forced Batista to tap out to the "Yes!" Lock to land sports entertainment's richest prize.
Who will Foley and Bryan pick for their brands during the WWE Draft? Find out by watching Smackdown Live from 1am, Tuesday (Wednesday morning), Sky Sports 5.
