WWE NXT: Samoa Joe beats up champion Shinsuke Nakamura
Thursday 6 October 2016 17:57, UK
Samoa Joe made peace with NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura on Wednesday night - before slamming his rival into the steel ring steps.
Joe insisted he was wrong to say Nakamura was undeserving of a title shot at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II in August, an event where Nakamura pinned The Submission Specialist to become NXT's kingpin.
Joe, who admitted to being 'a disgrace' as NXT Champion, then asked the Japanese for a rematch and Nakamura swiftly agreed.
However, as the champion posed in the ring, Joe attacked him from behind, leading to Nakamura being carried out of the arena on a stretcher.
Elsewhere at Full Sail University in Orlando, Liv Morgan challenged NXT Women's Champion Asuka after beating Rachael Fazio via submission and Hideo Itami downed Drew Gulak with a Go To Sleep.
Plus, The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) decimated Chris Payne and Doug Sessa, and Bobby Roode knocked off No Way Jose after administering a DDT.
