Swann defeats Kendrick; Englishman Gallagher earns victory

Rich Swann defeated Brian Kendrick to become Cruiserweight Champion as WWE 205 Live kicked off with a bang.
Swann, who beat former champion TJ Perkins and Scotland's Noam Dar on Raw to earn his title tilt, bested Kendrick with a flotilla of kicks on the first episode of WWE's new cruiserweight show on Tuesday night.
Kendrick tried to slow down the pace, frequently attacking Swann's neck and back, but was unable to retain the strap he won from Perkins at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in late October.
England's Jack Gallagher - a man Sky Sports interviewed in September - enjoyed a debut victory, the 26-year-old Mancunian knocking off Ariya Daivari via pinfall in South Carolina.
Gallagher, who competed in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic over the summer, used an array of technical moves on Daivari as well as a head-butt before nailing a match-winning dropkick.
Plus, The Bollywood Boyz - Gurv and Harv Sihra - caused somewhat of an upset by knocking off the talented team of Tony Nese and Drew Gulak.
Gurv took out Nese with a DDT, before he and his brother clocked Gulak with simultaneous superkicks to get their WWE careers off to a fine start.
Elsewhere, it was revealed that Dar will be a regular performer on WWE 205 Live, alongside the likes of HoHo Lun, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Akira Tozawa, Mustafa Ali and Gran Metalik.
