It was the night that, amid all of the usual chaos and carnage, Braun Strowman brought the grappling hook to the world of wrestling.
The Monster Among Men proved himself pretty handy with the Batman-style device as he used it to tear down a lighting rig in the backstage area.
Considerably less impressed with Strowman's skills of improvisation were Kane and Brock Lesnar, who were below said lighting rig and were left considerably worse for wear after it fell to the ground.
But there was plenty of action in the ring too, with six matches taking place on another action-packed offering from the red brand.
The Miz signalled his intent to reclaim the Intercontinental title from Roman Reigns, while tag team champions Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins showed further signs that all may not be well between them.
The Shield-lite trio were beaten by Finn Balor and his new henchmen of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows as their reunion continued apace.
Throw in three more singles matches and sprinkle in a tag bout upset for Titus Worldwide and all the ingredients were in place.
