The simmering tensions between Sasha Banks and Bayley exploded into conflict on WWE Monday Night Raw.
Things have not been quite right between the two former Raw women's champions - and long-time best friends - for several months now.
First Banks eliminated Bayley from the women's Royal Rumble in January. The Hugger let that one slide because, as everyone knows, the nature of the match is such that it is "every woman for herself".
And besides, Roman Reigns eliminated his Shield colleague Seth Rollins from the men's version earlier that night, with barely a flicker between the two.
Things started to turn sour, however, at Elimination Chamber, where Banks brutally stamped Bayley down as she attempted to climb one of the pods and help her attack Alexa Bliss.
Again, it was an "every woman for herself" situation, but what has upset Bayley is that Banks smiled down at her after doing so.
That has been too much for Bayley to take and the tension has continued to simmer until it reached boiling point this week - with explosive consequences.
