The standard term used to describe a car/driver that has failed to finish a race.Reverse mounting
A term which is rather less exciting than it actually sounds. Instead it refers to the practice - now banned - of running right rear tyres on the left - and vice versa - in a bid to increase the life expectation of their race stints by one or two laps. See also: Tyres; Pirelli.
